Title: DCS-960L can't view on LTE network
Post by: hello00 on December 13, 2017, 10:22:19 PM
Hello,

Do anyone know why DSC 960L only can view image on my internal network but outside LTE network cannot (using ISO mobile system)? I can view image on my DSC 5222L both internal & LTE network. I ensured the port forwarding setup is OK. Is it the firmware issue? or anything wrong? Please help. Thanks

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
How many other wireless devices do you have connected to the main host router?

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.96 and so on  DHCP (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=58017.0)

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62395.0)

Yes, you can view the 960L on both internal home network and remote locations using the MyDlink Lite app.

Hello

Thank you for your response.

Yes, i also have problem to connect to Mydlink lite app. After i connect to camera DCS960L via Mydlink lite app 2-3 time, this camera will showing "connecting" with black screen when i connected again. it will be reconnected after I reboot camera. I don't know why. So, i try to use another app with port forwarding to connect this camera.

Try setting up static IP addresses ON the cameras that are not in the host routers DHCP IP address pool and set up upnp and upnp port forwarding on ALL cameras.

What wireless modes are you using? Mixed BGN on 2.4Ghz or try using single mode N only on 2.4Ghz with WPA2 and AES Only. Try a manual channel of 11 on 2.4Ghz as well.

Just enable it and the cameras and router will auto handle ports needed.

Thanks for reply

Yes, already tried all your suggestions setting up in my router & cameras. DCS-960l only can registered in mydlink lite app but can't view image in the app (showing "connecting"). Also, can't view image by using port forwarding on other D-Link apps. It is my camera hardware issue?

Port Forward isn't needed on the main host router. Just uPnP is all and uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding ON the cameras.

What phone platform and phone OS are you using?
Can you view any of the cameras while at home on the local side of the app while the phone is connected wirelessly to the main host router?

the upnp forwarding is confusing the router because you have both 960L and 5222L.
try to assign a different port for 960L.

on the mydlink app not working on LTE/mobile, it is actually a CDN issue based on my experience.
workaround is to put your phone to use VPN

Have more than one DCS camera on the same network, needs to have both uPnp and uPnP Port Forwarding enabled. As some service ports are in use by one camera and are needed by the other. uPnP and uPnP PF help to ensure that any additional ports are made available for all cameras on the line. I have 3 and all are using these two features and I'm able to access all cameras using the Lite app both on local wireless LAN side and remote with LTE/4G service networks.
