Author Topic: any way to get a live video stream, eg., RTSP, from these cameras?  (Read 10929 times)

I'm looking to test some IP video client software I'm writing, and it's designed to connect directly to either an RTSP or RTSM video stream, which usually defaults to port #554.

I don't want to have to deal with HTTP protocols. Just the video stream that's embedded inside of the web page.

Is there any way I can get access to the h.264/MPEG4 or MJPEG video streams directly?

For some DCS models, I've seen reference to rtsp://IPADDRESS:554/live1.sdp (or live2, live3)
Some reference play1.sdp (or play2, play3).
I have not had any success getting these to work on my DCS-932L, however.

I'm going to try a 2200 (DCS-2132L) which appears to have support for RTSP/RTSC/RTP protocols.

Also, I need MPEG4, which the 931L doesn't support either.

Thanks.

FYI, in that list, it only shows that the DCS-2132L supports http: protocols.

It also supports rtsp: protocols for several streams that end in .sdp

They're documented in the PDF manual for the product.

Thanks.  That thread I provided contains a link for posting new feeds that you uncover (either by playing or referenced in documentation).  ;)
