Title: Snapshots
Post by: sauk1 on December 30, 2019, 10:38:12 AM
The D-link support says all cameras marked LH only work with app, no URL snapshots and vids are available. Is this really true? It is not stated as such in any presale specs and I can find at least one widget in IFTTT that records a vid when a Ring doorbell is pressed. How can I get that functionality with other systems than Ring? I really need a snapshot URL or something. Please help!

Ok, so how come Ring can have an IFTTT action delivering a recorded video from the camera?

Most D-Link cameras support it, just not the DCS-8xxxLH models.

I also bought this camera because in the specifications was mentioned:

Simplify your daily life by configuring home automation with IFTTT action combinations.
By creating combinations of actions for your home automation devices to interact, you have more control over your home and save time.

But I can't do it:
- I can't find any documentation on IFTTT
- no URL to send commands or read reports
- the current firmware version is v1.05.01. will dlink release a new version or is there a solution such as installing an older firmware version

Thanks for your help
