I'm wanting to prevent access to my media server, on my local network, on a fixed schedule. The Access Control options work great for interacting with the outside web, but don't seem to do anything on the internal network. I want to block all traffic to the device on a set schedule. Is there a way to do this on the 601?

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
You can block access on the LAN side however this would be a complete cut off from internet as well...

Thanks for the response FurryNutz! I've tried searching without much luck, so I'm glad to hear this can be done.
According to the 192.168.0.1 configuration page, I'm on "Hardware Version: A1" and "Firmware Version: 1.04NA". I'm in Colorado, USA - is there a more specific region you're looking for, and if so where would I find it?
Edit: The physical router says 1.01NA, which I now see probably is North America for the region. I don't recall updating the firmware from 1.01 to 1.04, but it's possible I did a long time ago or that I might've gotten the router secondhand. I honestly don't remember!
Cutting off all internet access overnight is perfectly fine. Ideally, it'd be nice to leave access to a couple sites so the DVR can update program info, but if that's not possible it's a tradeoff I'm willing to make. Just as long as it comes back when the router schedule period is over the next day!

To set up scheduling:
1. Reserve device IP addresses ON the router under Setup/Networking.
2. Set up a schedule under Tools/Schedule on the routers web page. Customize your dates and times here.
3. Use Advanced/Access Control configured and apply the customized schedule to a policy and to the PC(s) or device(s) desired to be controlled.
4. Ensure Time is set correctly on the router. Tools/Time.
I do believe Setup/Networking/DNS Relay and or Setup/Internet/Manual/Advanced DNS Services need to be enabled along with configuring Reserved IP addresses, Scheduling, and Access Controls.

Yes, I'd actually done that before posting. (I believe I did it by mac address, not ip address though.) It works great for blocking access outside my local network. But the devices inside the network still seem to be able to talk to each other, which is what I'm trying to prevent.

I wonder if Mac Filtering would help...or setting up a wireless schedule where only certain times can devices access the wireless. :-\

Are the other devices wireless? If they are, look for Advanced/Advanced Wireless/Wireless Partition or Isolation feature here. Enable it if you see it.
