643's - Why are they so hard to find now?
« on: July 09, 2009, 10:35:25 AM »

I had a 643 expresscard in my laptop, and I LOVED it. My laptop, like many of the newer ones, only accepts the Expresscard format, not the PCMCIA which I use on another laptop I own. All this is because I have a 655 router that I love too, and despite having "N" in the laptop, it's not nearly as fast as the D=Link adaptor's connection. But I lost the card on a trip, along with a case full of other tech valuables. Of course, even with lots of ID in the case and on most devices, I never got it back, even with a mention o***ood reward in the case. Heartbreaking. But now, I'm having a hard time finding the card from most vendors. It's always "out of stock"! What's the deal? Is D-Link discontinuing the Extreme N 643?
