DLINK 2750U - Block Lan Ports
« on: December 04, 2013, 12:16:33 AM »

Hi all,

i want to block / shutdown the 4 Lan Ports on the Dlink 2750 U Router.

I need this as my clients only use the wifi and never connect a rj45 cable to the network port on the router.

the 2750 has 4 ports and i want to block all 4.

is this possible through the management console on the router. I couldn't find any such option

please advise.

The ports can not be turned off.

I suggest that you place the Modem in a secure location or where only authorized users have access to the modem. In a locked room maybe.

Try "port mapping". Put the four lan ports into a group isolated with the rest of the network. At least the client connected to one of the four can't access the rest of the network.

Or.......... just physically damage them

sure. someday when the wireless doesn't work, an RJ45 will be the only pathway to get to the configuration interface
