Wondering if something was just hung up on the router and a factory reset was needed or a clean load of FW.

The problem followed multiple brand new routers of the same revision and fw.  I have a few dozen of th EBR-2310s sitting here, so testing was an easy option. The update to fw 3.01 ended up being the fix.
