Hi,
My DCS-825L worked great during 5 months until saturday. Suddenly stopped working. Since then, the "power light" is always in red.
Tried the "reset procedure" pressing the RST button but nothing happened. Also restart many times the camera, modem, router(DIR-636L)... Nothing seems to work.
Looks like the camera wifi network is not working.
Please, any suggestions?
Thanks,

Is the power LED the one showing RED?
Can you test or have someone test the power adapter plug at the end to make sure it reads the same value at the sticker? Output 5 VDC, 1.5A

Thanks for the reply !
Yes, the power LED is showing RED.
I'll find way to do that test. Meanwhile, perhaps I can try with my cell phone power adapter. Samsung cell phones have the same output.
What do you think?
-
If it has the same output, I suppose you can try.
What is the Mfr and model of the main host router the camera connects too?
What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?
-
Ok, tried with cell phone power adapter but the power LED still in RED.
Router: D-LINK DIR-636L
Wireless Mode: Mixed 802.11n, 802.11g, 802.11b
Thanks,

OK, I think power adapter is ok.
Maybe problem with camera.
I presume other wireless devices connected to the DIR router is working ok.
Might try temporarily changing the mode on the router from mixed to Mixed G and N and set WPA2 AES only. Then factory reset the camera once more and set up from scratch if you can get this far:

If not, then I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email. You may have a bad unit.
Let us know how it goes please.

ok, made the wifi changes but still the power LED lit red.
It might be a device failure because I can't even find the camera wifi signal.
Thanks for your help, I will try with support center.
Regards!
