The ShareCenter series uses the Linux filesystem, which does not share the same file attributes as the Windows OS. As a result, Windows file attributes are lost after copying to ShareCenter. Files normally hidden in Windows, including thumbnail and desktop.ini files, will visibly display when copied from a Windows PC to a ShareCenter.
Procedure
Although not the ideal solution, file attributes may be preserved if the files are first placed in an archive (e.g. zip file) before copying
