Settings Lost on Power Failure DSL-2750U
« on: May 09, 2015, 09:40:44 AM »

Howdy,
Wonder if anybody has experienced this problem and can advise further.
I have a new DSL-2750U router/modem. Set it up and all is working 100% - but whenever I have a power failure all the settings are reset to their default values and have input all the settings again  >:(. I suspect this is a faulty unit? It's becoming a real hassle at having to do all the settings each time.
Appreciate your comments, as I can't see any similar issues to this on the forum.
Many thanks
Gazza

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your modem? Look at the sticker under modem.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Try re-loading the FW file again using the following:
>FW Update Process

Test it out by unplugging the power adapter after you have saved some configuration settings to see if the problem still happens.
