Title: Trouble connecting to DCS-5222LB cameras and DNR-322L on the app
Post by: richiemccaw on August 27, 2015, 07:17:56 AM
Hi all,

I just bought got four DCS-5222LBs and one DNR-322L (with 8TB of storage). I've been struggling a bit with installation but it seems that all my cameras and the DNR are online - with blinking green indicator on.

For some reason I'm not able to connect to the livefeed on my app while on WiFi at home. There is a blue cloud symbol on the right of each device listed under the 'Remote Devices' window in the app.

I have set a static IP address for my DNR-322L within my router's subset instead of using DHCP (I have no idea what this means).

I have enabled UPnP presentation and UPnP port forwarding for all four cameras to no avail. The error message I got was ''The video stream from your device was lost. Please try again.'

Not sure if Windows Firewall has anything to do with it. I think I was able to see everything when I turned my Windows Firewall off. Now that it is back on, I cant see anything anymore. Not on the app, and not at mydlink.

Can someone help me please? Thanks a lot.

I have managed to get it working on both the app and mydlink.com.

Much as I cant quite believe, once I started accessing mydlink.com and the home IP addresses using Internet Explorer, everything started working fine, including the video playback on the home IP addresses. Microsoft Edge and Chrome dont seem to work as well, if at all.

There was also a problem with my DNR-322L installation - the extra Microsoft C++ or VB installation at the end did not come on automatically for quite a few times until I reset the 322L and re-installed everything again. This could have been the problem for the DNR-322L itself.

Thanks!

G;ad you go it working.

Seen issued with Windows 10 Edge. I still use IE11 since I upgraded 7 to 10. Try FF as well if needed next time.

ENjoy.  ;)
