Hello
First, sorry for my bad english : I'm French.
I need help because I can't connect in WIFI to my 306AV since a few days. The SSID appears, but I can't connect, with my PC or my smartphones. I don't understand the trouble because it was OK before.
I tried to change the channel, but nothing appears.
I hope someone will be able to help me.
Thank you !

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
Try factory resetting the DHP and set up from scratch?

- Ensure the default (dlink) SSID name is changed. Can be anything and not something thats already in use by any neighboring WiFi routers. Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
- What wireless modes are you using?
- 2.4Ghz Routers only: Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
- Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
- Try setting a manual Channel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_channel) to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
- What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Encryption_Standard), so you might want to try TPIK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporal_Key_Integrity_Protocol) only or Auto TPIK and AES.
- Any other WiFi routers in the area? Link> Use InSSIDer (http://www.metageek.net/) to find out. How many?

Thank you for the answer.
Hardware version is A2
I don't think it's a trouble with the firmware because it was right before.
I changed SSID name, changed the channel width, the channel number, the security mode (and tried no security). I used Inssider and saw there was no other WIFI routers in the same channel (6).
I wanted to try single mode G, but didn't find how to do that.

Try a different channel like 1 or 11 and see if you can change modes to G under Setup/Wireless/Manual?

Il already tried different channel : no connection :(
Impossible tu change to mode G, but I tried mode N only, mix N/G and mix N/G/B : no connection :(
InSSIDer tells me the Wifi is OK, but I can't connect. Strange...!?!?

Try setting the host routers WiFi security to OPEN or Disabled and see if it connects.
If not, then I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and get help on this unit. May need to RMA it.
Let us know how it goes.
