Why no 1550-04?
« on: July 02, 2015, 08:40:40 AM »

Firstly, Hi - My name is Tim - obviously 1st post here.  I suspect it won't be the last.

I have just acquired a DNS-1550-04 to replace an aging QNAP NAS.  The Dlink is vastly more capable - at least on paper.

The problem that I am finding, is there is stuff all information / support for it.

In particular, I would like two add ons:
1) Logitech Media Server
2) Transmission

After that, I would also like Dokuwiki etc.

I have next to zero knowledge of Linux - and that may be my downfall - as I can't imagine that it would be particularly difficult to get either of these apps running on this machine.

Any assistance would be most gratefully received.

Regards

Tim
