Title: Copy large files
Post by: alzi on November 06, 2012, 12:22:59 PM
Hi,
I am new here to this forum and hope someone can help me. I own a DNS320 with 2 1.5 TB disks and a DNS320L with 2 3 TB disks, which I am making to be my standard NAS. My operating system ist WIN7. Today I tried to copy a large mp4 video file with a length of 8 GB to the DNS320L, but that would not work. Only when I split the file into 2 halfs I could transfer them. However, there was no problem in copying the 8 GB file to the DNS320! Is there a difference in size to be allowed for files to be copied for the 2 NAS? How can I teach the 320L to accept larger files than 4GB? Any help welcome.
Regards
alzi

Same problem here. I can upload large files with Windows Explorer, but cannot using the web UI. Any clues?

I had to reformat the disks with the 320L FW and the problem was solved

Tried that. Still the same problem. "My Files" doesn't accept files bigger than 2gb. Thanks anyway.
