Title: UPnP server - Playlist - not finding tracks
Post by: rkolenda on December 07, 2013, 03:54:04 PM
Hello. I have been trying to get my music play lists (M3U files) to work using the UPnP AV Server on my DNS-325.
I can play my music from the DNS-325 directly with all my devices (PS3, Network receiver, Smart TV) but when I select one of my playlists, it always says 'no tracks'.

My playlists are stored under the following structure:
    \\DLINK-F60FDB\Volume_1\Music\_Playlists

I have tried using different file paths in the playlist file with no luck:

All the examples I have tried:

  ../The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  ..\The Beach Boys\Endless Summer\I Get Around.mp3
  /The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  \The Beach Boys\Endless Summer\I Get Around.mp3
  The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  The Beach Boys\Endless Summer\I Get Around.mp3
  Music/The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  Music\The Beach Boys\Endless Summer\I Get Around.mp3
  /Music/The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  \Music\The Beach Boys\Endless Summer\I Get Around.mp3
  /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Music/The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  \mnt\HD\HD_a2\Music\The Beach Boys\Endless Summer\I Get Around.mp3
  mnt/HD/HD_a2/Music/The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  mnt\HD\HD_a2\Music\The Beach Boys\Endless Summer\I Get Around.mp3
  Volume_1/Music/The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  /Volume_1/Music/The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  \Volume_1\Music\The Beach Boys\Endless Summer\I Get Around.mp3
  //DLINK-F60FDB/Volume_1/Music/The Beach Boys/Endless Summer/I Get Around.mp3
  \\DLINK-F60FDB\Volume_1\Music\The Beach Boys\Endless Summer\I Get Around.mp3

No matter what I have tried, it never finds the tracks.

If I connect my local Windows media player to the DLink, I can play the playlists but that defeats the whole purpose. I do not want to have my computer on as I would like to play from the DNS-325 UPnP server directly.

If anyone has this working I would love to find out how since I am running our of ideas.

Thanks
