Hi all, whenever I put in an IP address for WISH, I keep getting this error message. My Xbox has that IP address reserved, and it is within the range of my settings. Here's a screen shot:

Any help would be appreciated. I am using the latest firmware 1.22NA.

Not much experience with this however I'm wondering if the destination IP address has to be different and not the same? ??? Range is a designation from a certain address to the next address and I presume that they can't be the same address. Let us know if this helps. I have 2 xboxes set up for XBL however I have disabled WISH entirely. I game and stream netflix with out issue using the GameFuel information in the sticky post in this forum.

Thanks for the reply. I tried a different range and same result =( Anyone else with this issue?

Could it be a typo? I'm assuming you didn't set up a special DHCP scope/range. If that's the case, the third octet should be 0 (zero), not 1. So it should be 192.168.0.199.
-
Yes unless you changed the routers local IP address it should be 192.168.0.1 by default so in this case you would put 192.168.0.199 - 192.168.0.199.
-
Now why didn't I think of that? ::)
-
Nah, I setup my router's IP address to be 192.168.1.1 instead of 193.168.0.1 since my modem's address is 192.168.0.1.
But I try 192.168.0.1 and no luck. Maybe if i restore my router's IP address to 192.168.0.1 it might work.
-
Well that should work...unless there is something wrong...not sure....Hmmm.

Yea it should work onces you factory it. I Already located the problem. You changed the routers IP to 192.168.1.1 But you forgot to change the IP the router assigns. Onces in Basic Navigate to Network Settings. You should see router settings then Router IP address thats the login IP address you type now if you look below that you should see DHCP SERVER SETTINGS and bellow the settings you should see
DHCP IP Address Range: 192.168.0.100 - 192.168.0.199 you should Reedit that and make it 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.199. If this did not fix your issues I am very sorry that I failed you -_-. But it should. Good Luck give me a feed back if this resolved your problems and how its going.

I am getting the same thing, but… I'm trying to give my laptop priority over the other devices that are connected to my router…
192.168.0.196 is my IP for my laptop…
I also selected Any…
I also have, "VO" as my selection…
HTTP is the only checkbox in my selection…

Is your Laptops IP address reserved ON the router?
Are you using WISH For video streaming or gaming?

You need to fill in all the boxes.
Host 1 IP Range :-. 192.168.1.199 192.168.1.199
Host 1 Port Range :-. 0 65535
Host 2 IP Range :-. 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255
Host 2 Port Range :- 0 65535
This rule applies IP-199 in/out to any IP and all ports.
