Static Route Lan requirement
« on: January 21, 2015, 08:18:46 AM »

I have a  Dir850L router
Hardware Version : A1
Firmware Version : 1.12WW
I am needing to establish a static route to LAN so as i can launch a netflix client via a Roku, however the console is set to a default interface of a wan with an ip address
Having completed research it seems this is not that easy and it has led me to inspecting the html element to edit the interface.

I have inspected the element and edited the default setting being

Default setting
<option value="WAN-1">WAN (180.XXX.XXX.XXX)</option>
</select>

To now read
Edited setting
<option value="LAN-1">LAN (192.168.0.1)</option>
</select>

I am able to then save the setting and launch Netflix "success " BUT the Dlink console manager will return to the default setting. A short period later, forcing the interface to be WAN 180.xxx.xxx.xxx and dropping the Lan 192.168.0.1

How do you get the Dlink to keep the edited setting and not revert to the default please?

Cheers

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?

DIR series routers do not support LAN to LAN routing. This feature is seen on D-Links business class routers and not home class routers.

Might try this:

I don't know if it will work or not...
