LAN extremely slow
« on: September 25, 2020, 03:39:26 PM »

MY ISP is Spectrum.
If I plug directly into the cable modem I'll see download speeds of 300+ mbs using speedof.me

If I plug the DSR-250 into the Cable modem using the Wan port and then plug my laptop into 1 of the DSR-250's port's I'm seeing download speeds of between 40-70mbs.  Upload speeds remain consistent at approx 25mbs.

There was a power outage the night before and ever since then my LAN has gone to crap.  I had Spectrum out today they verified all connections all the way back to the trunk and tested everything.  They were the ones who actually showed me what the download speed was at the modem.

When I first set the DSR-250 up, I used the Wizard and didn't make any other config changes that I'm aware of.
Sorry for the noob questions, but I'm clueless here as to why a power outage could have caused my speeds to drop so severely.  I've power cycled everything several times since the original outage and to no avail.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Has a power OFF of the ISP modem for 1 minute then back ON been performed?
Might try a full factory reset on the DSR and setup from scratch as well.
