DNS-320 Fan

Hello,

 My NAS is still new but I think about its FAN ... surery one day need to change it. Somebody experience that? ... How to ? ....

Not sure what you're getting into, I assumed you're referring to the noise generated by the cooling fan.

no no... I mean I see some dust in the fan, of course I try my best to clean it up but u know one day dust will make it (the fan) stop and it will need to change it ....

Which moving fan doesn't collect dust especially so for a device like NAS which is likely to be on 24/7. Anyway replacing the fan is very simple IMO.

Khampol, so far our DNS-320s have not had any problem with the fans and we got the units when they were first available.  Once a year we use a small brush to dislodge the dust and a vacuum cleaner to remove it and these units are on 24/7 in an industrial situation.

Unless you are very unlucky by the time you will need to replace the fan you will most probably need to replace the entire unit.
