Title: Java Version 7 Update 60 running on late 2011 macbook pro and mavericks
Post by: Rimshot on July 14, 2014, 06:51:59 AM
Anyone have this config and running into issues ?    Live view is flaky at best for me.   Going into advanced settings and trying to use the live view tab just doesn't work.  Appreciate any tips or suggestions.   thanks

Tim

Have you configured Java Security to allow all from mydlink.com?

Assuming I configure Java Security to allow all from mydlink.com, I opened the Java Control Panel from Systems Preferences.  Clicked on Security tab.   Assuming I am to use the Exception Site List, I tried to add mydlink.com.   It did not work (I see a white exclamation mark in a red circle next to the entry box for the new site to add -- don't now what that means).  It lets me type in mydlink.com, then when clicking the Add button, then the OK button, mydlink.com does not show up in the Exception list.   However, I did notice that there is a trusted certificated in the Managed Certificates for Dlink Corporation.

If there is another method I should take, let me know.   Not sure what version of Java I was running before installing update 60, but was trying to use the camera control preset options under the advanced settings.  Now, however, i do not even see those options.   Also, I was able to use Firefox before, but not now.   I can get the live view and advanced settings using Safari, but still no preset options under the camera control as I get a ClassNotFoundException for the aplug class in the Java window in the camera control tab.

Neither https.mydlink.com or http.mydlink.com work.   However, am able to get mydlink now working in Firefox.  As I mentioned before, the connection and usage of mydlink is more flaky now than before, however, as I continue to get different symptoms and usage behavior and nothing consistent, it doesn't make sense to chase any individual case down....    I will close this thread down here.  Much appreciation for your quick help!

Glad you got it working in FF. Was Safari not working for you?  ???

Safari was giving me Exceptions in the advanced settings pages when trying to view live video.   Firefox doesn't even work for live video in the advanced setting pages.   However, since I use my iPad or iPhone primarily to view live video and I use the iPad to set the video zone cubes for motion detection, the issues on the Macbook are not that big of a deal....

Possible there maybe some issues on 10.9.4 and the new Java 60...I might have a look on my Mini and Mac Book Pro 2007 and my 933L and see if I get the same thing.

Thanks, would be interested in your findings....what works, what doesn't.   Be happy to check out any scenario you encounter on my setup.   I have a 933L and a 5020L.

No live feed here on my Imac :

Mac OSX 10.9.4
Safari 7.0.5
Java Ver 7 65
DCS 2132L A1
Firmware 1.02.00

Fault message after trying to load live feed in https://eu.mydlink.com/device#.....
UnsatisfiedlinkError
Can't load library: /Users/username/acs/libffcodec.dylib

Live feed works fine in same Mac machine under Windows 7 in Paralles Desktop.

Any input ?

It worked for me (I was using Chrome this time). Previously I tried Safari and Firefox - no changes. I got an error all the time regarding aplug.class "ClassNotFoundException". I also tried to reinstall Java - in vain.

What model camera do you have?

Java 7 has progressed to Java 8x now.
