Hello,

I've recently have gone through a tremendous amount of personal time setting up my NAS drive with my DIR-827 Router.  I have found though that no matter where I am, the upload and download Speed, notably more so the download is horribly slower then the upload when the Router is connected to the NAS.

Are there any suggestions or others steps I can do to maximize the performance. It's my understanding that the Cloud should operate at the same speed at as the service I'm using?  I'm a novice to moderate user in this learning on my own step by step.  Thanks for your patience.

Use a external Gb network switch between the router and all wired LAN devices.

I should have specified that it's only slow during the use of it Remotely on the Cloud.

That should be a bit clearer.    :-)  Locally its fine.

Test speeds with SPI ON or OFF?
NAT set to EndPoint Independent?

Whats your ISP Speed UP and Down?
Cloud meaning?
This router isn't an actual Cloud router.

I think that usually any remote access from the WAN side to anything on the LAN side is going to have some performance impact, many variables can effect performance. ISP  services, ISP Modem, connections and everything in between.
