Title: DCS2230 IR Cut triggers an event on passive IR detector
Post by: Macfly60 on February 22, 2012, 08:50:59 AM
Hello,

As stated in title, I set an event "email" on passive IR sensor trigger.
And every days I get an email as soon as the cam switches to IR ...

Have you a solution?

For outdoor use, I could understand (my outdoor lighting is also triggered by rain or wind)
But inside I can not believe that this false alarm is not deactivated. Especially since I relied on the reliability of the IR sensor in order to connect the cam to my home's alarm!
A small change firmware programmers gentlemen?

You're probably right ...
IRcut except, I didn't have other false alarms, but this one is sufficient for not using the DO.
As for the DI, connect another PIR detector in my cam, I do not see much use...

This better not be true or solved by the newest current firmware, I just bought three of those with the primary goal of hooking them up to an alarm system.
