I have bricked my DSL-2750U router, What to do next?
« on: March 09, 2019, 06:59:38 PM »

Hello D-Link/FurryNutz,

I recently tried to install a firmware update on my D-Link DSL-2750U router, Well, The firmware was updated fine but I think I had accidentally installed the wrong firmware version of T1-South Africa which is very old and bad. Now the problem is that I cannot install any other version from this version, every time when I try to install firmware from a BIN file It says "Illegal Image". Another big problem is that I cannot access the firmware update page on Crash Recovery Mode/Emergency Flashing. If I try to start my router as a Crash Recovery, The only Red LED is showing up and none of the other lights except the LAN one is indicating. I also tried TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocols) but not work and even with the CMD Command ipconfig doesn't showing Gateway IP. Also previously before flashing, My router's default IP address was 192.168.10.1 and Crash Recovery Mode also worked at that time, but after updating South African firmware, Default admin panel's IP changed to 10.0.0.2 and Crash recovery mode also not working as said above. I think I completely bricked my router and there is no way except buying a new one. Please help me D-Link Support Team and FurryNutz, It's my humble request to you please do not advice me to contact my ISP as of your regular answer in this forum to anyone. Actually, My ISP (PTCL) really has non-existence support so that's why I registered in this forum. Thank you for your services anyway.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.
Link> Tech Support Contact Information
We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

If your modem is out of warrenty, then you'll need to get a new modem unit.

Let us know how it goes please.
