Constant Disconnection & Broken Motion Detection
« on: May 25, 2015, 06:28:14 AM »

I owned DSC-825L for a month now and it started to act up 2 weeks ago.

From time to time, I am not able to connect to the camera (be it via DLink account or accessing local network). Sometimes I'm able to reconnect after waiting for half an hour or so, while most of the time restart of the camera is required.

On the other hand, the motion detection is ****. It seems to keep recording regardless whether there is motion. Period.

HELP!?

Singapore

Router DLink DIR-868L
Wireless mode 11n on 2.4GHZ BAND
Distance about 5m, Signal ~70%

I'm accessing via mydlink Baby iOS app. It worked perfectly fine for first 2 weeks. Setup was hassle free that's what its advertised anyway.

No idea why you pasted me all the links ie. FAQ, mydlink portal config, the Chrome blocking plugins page.

Hi

why you are not upgrading your firmware to the 1.03 or 1.04 or 1.05
you can allways return to your older firmware if you have it as FW_DCS-825L_1.0xxxx.bin
then you can see if it is releated to the firmware

regards

Changes are made to the Mydlink service along with Java and Chrome applications that D-Link isn't responsible for however do test to make sure there products work on as best as possible. Those links should be reviewed to help you keep the camera running with new configurations that may need to be effected on the camera.

Yes your current running FW is out of date and you may need to update FW as well.

Gave up, selling my DCS-825L, period.

Couldn't even find the camera on http://global.dlink.com.sg/support/dlhome.asp, let alone upgrading the FW.

Where did you get the 835L from? The reason that it's not listed on that site is that it may not be sold or supported in that region. If your using a model camera that's not officially support or sold in that region then you need to find a camera model that is.
