Title: dlink camera & wifi issues under iOs13
Post by: Fotodog on October 20, 2019, 06:13:40 AM
My dlink camera used to without problem connect to my wifi, except for frequently being bumped off and frequent start overs on the app to recognize the camera. Since iOs13, my dlink camera & app will not connect to my wifi. It demands a bluetooth connection, Even with bluetooth enabled, the app still gives me an error message saying no bluetooth. Unfortunately, the camera is too small to be a door stop. How do I get this thing working again?

Not sure why it is asking for a bluetooth connection. Is this during setup?

Easiest thing to do is reset the camera (paperclip in reset hole for 10 seconds). Put your phone in airplane mode and enable WiFi and bluetooth. Open app and add new device. Once completed you can turn off airplane mode on your phone.

If you continue to have issues, uninstall the app, reboot your phone, install app and try again.

Yes, bluetooth requested during setup. I have experienced frequent events of the dlink camera being knocked offline and had to redo the whole setup process. The first time being done after iOs13, came the bluetooth request. Prior to iOs13, it connected to wifi with no problem.

Did all the other suggestions and nothing worked. Not even a report to the online dlink problem page resulted in an answer.

I have done all suggestions given here. I have even upgraded to the newly released version of the dlink app. Still get that request for bluetooth, which is on, but the app continues to demand it. So, I basically have an 80 dollar piece of junk.

Help requests to the dlink web site have gone unanswered so I guess they are not going to be any help either.

if you are in the US, call 1-877-453-5465 for tech support. There has been some quirky issues with iOS 13 and the mydlink app.
