Title: What iPhone app supports DCS-930L
Post by: bkuchar on January 03, 2011, 09:42:33 PM
What iPhone app supports my DCS-930L?

I tried "D-Link Viewer" and "D-Link Cams" - neither of which support DCS-930L.

I am using an iPhone 4.

I installed the v1.4.0 app and log into mydlink account, but nothing shows up. Just the title bar and information button. My configuration is correct because it works correctly when using a PC browser. Some help would be appreciated as the advertised iphone support was the whole reason I bought this product.

What is your port on the camera? I noticed that if camera port is default - 80, then mydlink works. Otherwise it does not.

According to my D-link router, the camera is using port 80. The mydlink.com website works fine. The iPhone app does not even list I have a camera.

When you setup camera, did you run DLink CD that came with camera? I believe that is required step to register your camera with mydlink.

Yes I used the CD that came with my camera for the installation. Again, when I use the mydlink.com website with my PC browser, it works and I can see my video. This means I have correctly registered my camera with my account. When I use the mydlink Lite iPhone app, no devices show up. It is blank. Yes I have even rebooted the phone, I have tried 3G and wifi connections, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

So far my iPhones work great with my DCS-930L.
Now if I could only get motion detection working.
The algorithm doesn't seem very good on the camera. :/

the droid app (mydlink lite) works fine.
must be an apple thing.

keep in mind, the dlink site is middle man to your cameras. so there were times where connecting to the camera took a couple minutes.

And the reason they only let you stay on for 60 seconds is purely to save bandwidth. its free afterall.

good luck.
