Title: Mac Clone not persistent
Post by: jkohler2 on December 01, 2013, 05:39:14 PM
Good to know and hear. Thanks for sharing and posting.

Enjoy.

I have the same intermittent issue on my D-link ebr-2310 and called D-link support.  I was guided to the configuration page in the router (192.168.0.1) and urged to make a "manual" change in the configuration.
The MAC address can be cloned, I guess, from either my laptop (linux) or my desktop (windows-xp) each of which displays a different MAC address.  Once I completed the "clone MAC" operation, it worked ok for a while.

Now, when I begin either computer from a cold start, and click on the Firefox browser (either the Linux one or the Windows-xp one) I get the "oops! message, and must go through the MAC address clone routine again.

I do not know whether or not this resembles the titled issue on this thread.  Please forgive me if I did not open a new thread this time.  I am unfamiliar with this process.

3rd Party Security Software Configurations

Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection
