After my successful upgrade to current Seagate 2TB drives, I was motivated to repair the fragile clips on the faceplate. I bent paper clip wire into "L"s matching the size to the single remaining styrene clip. I then held the clip with needle-nosed pliers as I heated the ****gs with a 40W soldering iron and pushed it into the broken faceplate. Alternately, the new clips could be secured with J-B Weld or similar.  I replaced three of these clips, and now I get no vibration buzz.

Something else you should check is how easily the fan rotates and clean any crud off the blades which causes unbalanced vibrations and noise.  I you have the ability it is advisable to lubricate the fan bearings as well.
