i have both 932L and 942L and the 932L was plug N Play and no problem setting up with my WiFi.
But i can't get the 942L to work. Works fine with the Ethernet cable but not wireless. Help please?

Come on ... I can't be the only one with this problem? I have two 942L cameras and neither one of them
can I get connected to the wireless network.

Try disconnecting all of your existing DCS cameras before trying to connect your DCS-942L.

If your 942L can operate under an Ethernet cable but not wifi mode , please try these steps
1. put 942L camera to very close to your router to eliminate wifi signal loss distance
2. access your router page, Advanced -> WiFi Protected Setup
2.1 press a small WPS button (1-2 sec) at the left back of your 942L
2.2 click on "Add wireless device with WPS"  from router page
2.3 in a few minute,  your router and IP camera should connect via wifi automatic setup. you should notice a green led on power LED of your 942L
3. Alternate way, If you can do setup wifi  for your home, you can do it during an ethernet cable connection

FYI. my 942L camera cannot operate in wifi mode (red LED)  if I put it to far away from a router(low signal).  I have two 942L cameras and test them wifi together, under the same location, router show one 942L camera has transfer rate (Mbps) and signal(%)  in half of my second 942L camera. Even 942L support 802.11n mode, it operate low wifi performance  compare to my DCS-2121 camera (802.11g). I have test a third 2121 camera together with the two 942L camera. In conclusion, 942L camera will need some firmware improvement for wifi driver.
