DIR655 (A4) & IE11 Issue ?
« on: December 15, 2013, 06:17:35 PM »

I have DIR-655 (a4) Version with 1.34NA firmware installed.....if I go to update within firmware it says it is latest.  I just upgraded to IE11 and went into my DIR655 and gave me a notice my browser is old and need to upgrade....what, really ?....IE11.  It allowed my to login to router but could not click on anything...kind of dead.  I then used Firefox (latest) and could log in....all works.

What is up with IE11 ?.....I assume this is a Dlink firmware issue ?  Is there later than 1.34NA ?....if so, where do I get it ?......does it fix this IE issue ?

Regards.

I'm East Coast USA.
I'm using IE11 so not sure where "compatibility" mode is.

There is a gear icon top right hand corner of the IE11 window, select this and there should be a listing for Compatibility options. There is a ADD button. If your on the main page of the 655 router, the IP address will automatically appear in the address box, just hit ADD.

This should help...

Worked like a charm....thx !

Side note, is there newer version of firmware for A4 DIR-655 than 1.34NA ?
My router has worked great for a long time and always hesitant to upgrade unless needed.
I see other versions out there but not for my hardware model, not for North America, etc.
I see a 1.35NA on the FTP site but recall this was something not needed forget what feature it pulled that I did not use.  I also see v137NA at top of forum but have no idea what it changes or fixes ? I also saw some posts on uPnP vulnerability ?

Please review this:
FW Update Process

If it works, don't fix it!  ;)
There is newer FW for all Rev A's.

Glad you got it working. Enjoy.  ;)

I hear you....read the v1.37NA thread and folks are having problems with iOS devices.
I have many on my network and even a Lantronix xPrintServer for iOS devices that works.
However what about the PnP vulnerability issue ?

The uPnP vulnerability was fixed in v1.32 I believe...
