I just update my camera on 1.08. everthing rolled fine on update. Now I have an image with a LOT of pixels. I tried to reboot camera. issue still persists. Problem is that this camera is facing a place with restricted access. So if I get alarm, it will be sure that someone broke in! Due to pixels, alarm now runs like crazy every minute!
PLEASE HELP!

Roll back to the prior version.
What there a problem with the prior version that you upgraded to new?
-
I always perform updates as they suppose to be better and eliminate some security issues. I also read that new version (1.08) disables ping! I have an issue with that as it is the only (IMHO) to check if camera is alive.
-
I prefer to follow "If it works, don't fix it!" kind of thinking.
I'd roll back and see if the camera continues to exhibit the problem. Let us know. If it fixed it, then I'll pass this on to D-Link for review.

I downgrade to 1.07 and evething went back to normal. I found that image is getting these pixels because it uses day mode (no ir activated) on 1.08. I suppose it has to do with light level it detects on 1.08. :-\
Image frame has 2 light sources on 30 feet, so I suppose it is getting wrong info that is daylight. IMHO that is the issue. hope to be fixed whatever it is.
Thank you FurryNutz for advice.

So using settings you had on v1.07 seems to fail on v1.08?
-
yes!
-
I hate to ask however if you get some time, would you updated to v1.08 and do a factory reset and set up from scratch and see if you have the same problems using default settings? I'm wondering if there is a difference now in v1.08 and that your v1.07 configuration may not be valid due to some changes in v1.08. Maybe some other adjustments maybe needed. This would help to see if the problem still happens using default settings then making some minor adjustments from what you had before.
-
i can do it for sure but not now.
camera is connected via wifi so reseting i suppose i will lost wifi settings also. so can you wait till tommorow to plug it and perform that scenario?
-
No worries, at your leisure. ;)

Hi, I also upgraded to v1.08.
I also have the problem that the camera reacts all the time. I will try to set down sensitivity from the default 80% to 60%.
BUT, i have another issue with this release. Image is not uploaded to FTP anymore. I get the video file uploaded but the Image file is not sent when detecting.
When I choose to send at Test image from the camera, it works but not automatically on detection.
I have all the same settings as before...
-
Clarification, Snapshot is not uploaded to FTP, only Video clip.
-
When you updated, did you perform a factory reset then setup from scratch?
-
Hi again.
After a few reboots, the FTP uploading of Snapshots has kicked in againg. So this claim can be discarded as a bug in 1.08v.
However, in my opinion the sensitivity has increased in v1.08. It now goes off on any solar reflection on the floor. I will try to experiment with lower sensitivity than 80% (which is default).
I have done no factory reset.
-
Let us know how it does with lowering the sensitivity.
-
Hi again!
I set down motion detection sensitivity to 60% and now it seems that camera does not trigger on sun reflections on the floor.
Another good thing is also that night detection has improved. It does not detect me at 5meters but atleast at 2meters.
However, a bad thing is that now the camera triggers motion detection when it switches from daylight mode to night mode. =/ So I get a detection per day for that. It does not seem to trigger when it goes from night mode to dayligt mode.
-
Seems that detection sensitivity is more sensitive on this version of FW. ::)
-
This morning I also got a motion detection triggered when camera switched from nightvision to daylight mode. :'(
-
Whats the next lowest motion detection setting you can use? Might do one more lower setting to see.
-
I am now down to 30% and I do not get som many unwanted motion detections anymore. Once in a while, I get when it shifts from daylight to nightvision.
Additionaly, with 1.08 and and the updated myDlink lite app (for Android) I can now easily set detection level on motion and sound in the app. Thats a nice step forward. Previously I had to enter through the mydlink webportal and there is a lot of issues with certificate and java before it is possible to use the portal for this setup.

Glad it's working better. ;)
