Please keep us updated if you find the culprit.

Hi,
Nice to see a d-link tech on these forums...  :) Is the DNS-323 using hdparm to spin down drives?

Question, how do you know when your drives have gone to sleep?

Do all the lights turn off?

Thanks

The power light (behind the power button) goes off, the rest stay in whatever state they are, on or off as the case may be.

i had the same problem.. then i figured it out... the reason it did that for me was because of the UPnP server. it refreshes and if you have gigs and gigs of data it takes longer to update(mine went for over 2 hours or so). so if you want to avoid that downgrade to version 1.04, it has an option for refresh but if you downgrade make sure you will not miss what the newer version have.

to test this turn off UPnP and ITunes. see if it still does it.

hope this helps....  peace out.
