DGS-1210-52: Link Aggregation between switch and servers
« on: August 04, 2017, 11:24:47 PM »

I would like to enable link aggregation between our switch and server. The server is running xenserver 7 and I have already created a bonded port between the 2 ports (Active-active bond).

On the dlink switch I've enabled link aggregation and created a LACP group with the 2 ports plugged into those ports. By doing so it fails to provide network over those ports and I have to physically disable LA before they get network again. I'm beginning to wonder if I have configured it properly as I know there is also configuration from switch > switch and not sure if that is maybe where I'm missing the plot?

Any advise would greatly be appreciated!

I would check the user manual for any information regarding this.

If not, I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
