Hi,

Here is:
Windows 7 X64 Ultimate
Shareport plus
Xerox Phaser 3121 printer
Dir-657

Everything printing via Shareport is awesome.
Share port shows and connected  installed printer but all it's printing is an error:

INTERNAL ERROR - FALSE

POSITION: 0x17e4b (97867)
SYSTEM: h6fwsim_snipe/xl_image
LINE: 132
VERSION: SPL 5.07 06-27-2006

tried to update drivers but nothing. It is printing corectly when conected direct to pc.
Other printer works fine.
Please help.

What version of Shareport are you using?
There is v4 available...

I presume that if other printers are working, possible that the issue is with this specific model printer.

If this can't be resolved, you could install a D-Link model DPR print server instead of using Shareport...

Thank you but  I bought this router to use it as Print Server, so I want to do this.
It's known that this printer doesn't have direct driver for Windows 7 x64 but it's working with drivers of Xerox Phaser 3124, Samsung ML-1710, 1740.

I recommend that you contact the Mfr of the printer and see if there are drivers for this printer for Window 7x64, If it doesn't then I presume there could be an issue here and is related to the printer and the drivers. if other printers are working with this router and SP and there native drivers, then the issue is with this model printer and not the router. If the Mfr does not have any native windows 7x64 drivers then I suggest you review and consider the suggestion as a alternate means of using the printer on your current network.

OK. One more question. Is there any posibility to use Dir-657 as printserver without SP?

Unfortunately no, any printers need the use of the SP software to print and connect too.

Sorry we could not be of more help. Hope there is a solution out there for this printer. Consider a printer server DPR unit as a solution.
