Closest Server:

In UK:

my upload is always the same speed range, almost never below 2MB

I used to have a test result that said it was a down speed of 150MB/s which was rather confusing, since i wasn't able to navigate to anywhere on the internet, thus confirming, SpeedTest.net is not an accurate speed test site.

You said you used to do a speed test with another server and it came back with 150Mb/s, that just proves the point that speedtest.net is more accurate. 150Mbs seems to fast and now you are getting 22 so think about.

EDIT: My speeds just keep improving over the days. I really love this new modem.

If anything, the way Speedtest.net is designed you get a higher result then you get. And I think he did mean Speedtest.net. I have gotten similar results. Speedtest, ironically enough, is not technically a "speed" test, but a capacity test. Meaning you would never be able to transfer 21Mb from site A to B. Rather, its the maxium capacity that the connection allows. Like I had told alot of people, network performance is probably one of the more complicating fields you can get into in IT. Next to maybe Data encryption. Here is a good page though on my site of choice though

Yea, that is true. Speedtest may say my I am getting a download speed of 38Mb/s but that is not true to other servers. I won't actually get that when I am downloading a file or simply browsing the net. Speeds will always vary through different servers. Networking is complicated, although I want to learn more and more about it. To me it is very interesting.

Oh, don't get me wrong, improvement is still improvement. If you saw your speed go from X to X+10, then thats still a very good thing. I love my 6120 ^^

Yes capped at 1MB up..  Here is my test today

That is more what I average.  Although I don't have any firewall for antivirus running right now as I am installing a newer version of BD.

I did this to see if my Anti virus / firewall affects my systems download and up loads at all.
