If the same process doesn't work for the 2131L, then there isn't any recovery process. You'll need to phone contact your regional D-Link support office for help and information on getting it fixed. Most Cameras don't have a recovery feature.

Let us know how it goes.

I did... and he said that cant support this model as i bought it outside from Brazil. The thing is, why an cheap camera does have an emergency room and an expensive one does not?  and why cant they use the USB Boot tool to install the firmware, instead the crappy web upload? if the browser crash somehow you brick your camera!!!

i got this from dlink usa ... but wont work at all:

Try first to troubleshoot your camera or reflash it.

In order to troubleshoot this device is to connect your camera directly to the ethernet port of your computer, then if you have Windwos 7 computer please assign a static IP address on the LAN computer. Go to start > control > network and sharing center > change adapter setting > right click Local Area Connection and choose Properties > then highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 then choose properties > then set to use the following IP address and assign this one

IP address:192.168.0.55
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:192.168.0.20

Then hit okay

Then open your INternet browser then on the address bar type http://192.168.0.20 then check if you receive firmware upgrade page or it ask for username and password

If you receive both before proceeding please download the latest firmware of the camera on the www.mydlink.com/support so that you can update the camera if you get the firmware update page or if the page ask for username and password, username is admin password is just blank or the password that you setup. Then if you successfully login you can go to maintenance tab > firmware upgrade > browse > look for the firmware upgrade file and upload to fix this issue.

Looks like you need to return the camera if it's new and still returnable to the place of purchase would be my first suggestion. I would suggest RMA however since your region doesn't support that model camera, you maybe out of luck unless you can find someone in the NA region like a friend to ship it to then they can ship it to D-Link for RMA.

I recommend next time, getting devices that are sold and supported for your region only.
Good Luck.
