Is it good for a birdhouse?

Hello!

My father wants a camera in a birdhouse that he is going to build. I have looked at this camera and I wonder  if anyone know if it will work? Maybe someone have tested it in a birdhouse?

Maybe the DCS-932L would be better, so you can watch when it's dark. I guess the distance is 25 cm (~9.8 inches), but because he will build the birdhouse, it can be longer. Can the camera focus on that distance (or maybe little longer distance)?

Feel free to tell me if you know about another good camera to use.
