update link for Documentation
« on: June 30, 2015, 08:57:58 AM »

The link for D-link support site/documentation in the posting
    http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=61537.0

didn't work for me. I found the doc I wanted, including the user manual at
    http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DIR-890L%2fR

Was disappointed that the official link on inside first page in the Quick install guide
    https://www.mydlink.com/
Required a lot of navigation to  get to the DIR-890L page, and then to find only the firmware update available.
(I understand that there is probably a separate team responsible for that page, just commenting).

I've read thru many of the posts here, and can see that improvements are being made, but find it hard to believe that a high-cost product is asking the user community to flush out all of these issues. Many listed here in the forums seems like testing-lab 101. (yes I know some are resolved now). Fingers crossed that I can get this working as advertised.

But, all that said, a Big Thanks to the moderators and community for your support!

Thank you for the feedback I corrected my link about the User manual. That was my initial posting about it and since then they changed the URL links. All should be good now.

Regarding testing 101 here in the forums, I agree that we maybe helping out on some level however mostly we are here to help with setup, configurations and some troubleshooting. If we can't help fix any issues seen then we refer users to official phone support. The FW has stabilized and D-link is aware of the issues at hand. Testing 101 isn't only with D-Link, there are many other Mfrs in the tech industry with similar environments. So do feel alone. Even car Mfrs have forums as well.  :-\

You can always come here to the forums and check on FW updates. I try to keep information up to date as best as possible here to let everyone know.
