Syslog location
« on: October 28, 2016, 08:19:09 AM »

I checked the manual and was able to configure the Syslog Server IP Address... but where on the designated PC does the actual file get created?

The reason I'm trying to set up the log is that the ssid seems to drop out from time to time. Will the system log even show the wifi connection status if indeed the router is to blame?

thx/rtk

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

You have to install syslog capture software on the PC, then with in that app will the data be captures and read for review. SW like syslogwatcher is one application. There are others I presume.
