Wireless Security Settings
« on: September 11, 2016, 06:26:01 AM »

I prefer to only allow WPA2 with AES encryption on my wireless networks.  I also don't use WPS and prefer to have it disabled.  The new UI for configuring the router is nice, but it doesn't provide access to these settings.  The only options I have are "WPA and WPA2" and "None".  Does D-Link plan on exposing these settings in future updates?

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?

The WPS feature is separate from the WPA options. If it's not listed anywhere in the wireless settings then it maybe a automatic function and only active when the WPS button in back is used.

I'm in the US.

I'm mostly concerned about the lack of a WPA2 only option, but it would be nice if the WPS button did not function.

The option is being handled automatically and depending upon age of device and what the Mfr supports for it, most devices will connect with WPA2 and AES.

You can contact D-Link support and ask them about this and request they put this feature in.
