QoS Rules for traffic control in D-Link DIR-615 HW ver T1 FW Ver 20.07

Problem: I am on 4Mbps plan which drops to 1Mbps after 25GB usage. My family members/guests don't know how or forget to decrease YouTube Video resolution and use up 25GB data in a week.

Task: Assigning certain devices low bandwidth (LB Devices) with out affecting other High Bandwidth devices (HB Devices)

Solution:

1) Go to 192.168.0.1 -> Setup -> Local Network -> DHCP Static IP Configuration, Assign Static IPs to HB devices starting from 192.168.0.34
2) Go to 192.168.0.1 -> Advanced -> Traffic Control -> QoS Rules -> Add, Fill in the following details and click Add

      Protocol :      None
      Source IP:      192.168.0.1
      Source NetMask:   255.255.255.224
      Destination IP:   0.0.0.0
      Dest NetMask:   0.0.0.0
      Source/Dest Port are blanked out
Fill your required values for up/down floor/ceiling rates.

This rule will limit the bandwidth for devices from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.33 to any WAN IPv4 address. I tested this rule on my devices with speedtest.net, fast.com, torrents and it seems to be working.

Let me know if you face any problems after this rule is implemented.

PS: If you want to allot bandwidth for each device you can do it by assigning the device a static IP. Use that static IP for source IP and 255.255.255.255 as Source NetMask.

Review this for setting up reservations:
Setup DHCP

Then follow the information here in this tread for your model router.

Try Assigning the others while leaving your device unassigned...

I have set upped my router address to 192.168.100.1  . Then DHCP static list is assigned to 192.168.100.3(ip address of my mobile). Then I checked >traffic control>Protocol:
Source IP:192.168.100.1       Source NetMask:255.255.255.224
Dest IP:192.168.100.2       Dest NetMask:    0.0.0.0
Source Port: --                         Dest Port:--
Up Floor:    10kb/s    Up Ceiling:    20 kb/s
Down Floor: 10 kb/s    Down Ceiling:    20 kb/s
This settings are inputted.... can you please tell me what is this source netmask and the router mask is given 255.255.255.0

You can try 255.255.255.0 for subnet mask. I don't know if 255.255.255.224 applies to your configuration.
