I'm getting an error during setup that says "You are unable to connect to the mydlink web site, and your camera could not be added to your mydlink account."
I am able to access the internet just fine and the camera is working otherwise.
What is going on?

Ran a packet sniffer and I see my post making it to dlink and their response is
"DFP not match"
-
What is the camera model? *h/w version and firmware version (if possible)
what installation disk version are you using?

Did you receive this error while the camera was wired or wireless? If you received the error during wireless setup, try using a wired connection instead.

I'm facing the same problem!
I try to register a 930L camera but only get the "cannot contact mydlink servers".
I'm using setup CD with version 1.00 (EU).
Firmware version 1.03.

Same question. . . did you attempt to configure the camera using wired or wireless?
-
I have tried both! Same error message...
-
I experienced the same issue (wired/wireless). D-Link technical support was also unable to reconcile the issue by walking me through the process. They ultimately issued an RMA for my DCS-932L. The replacement works without issue.
-
If you feel you've exhausted all options, you can try updating the firmware to v1.01_build3.

I'm getting the same issue. The camera works fine; everybody "sees" everybody else. I just can't connect to the mydlink site and register the camera. I talked with some schmuck from tech support last night for an hour and he didn't have a clue. At the last he said I had a corrupt installation disk and needed to download a new one from the website. Goodbye. Huh? Can anybody help?

The biggest gripe I have with DCS-9XX series is the dependency on that wizard to register the device on D-Link. If the DCS-XXX gets dissociated from mydlink , the camera must be configured from scratch through the wizard to re-register with mydlink. No manual process exists.

I manged to register my camera successfully this afternoon.
I'm pretty sure that it was an server error on the D-Link side...
One url I found that didn't reply yesterday, showed a message about server crash (which also was mentioned in another thread) in the afternoon and was working fine a bit later. Then after that the registration went through...
-
Congratulations. I'm glad things worked out for you. I hope the other users with this issue are also able to complete their registration.

I had this issue, too (see here: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=39084.0)
First camera, could not connect, called support, they issued an RMA. Second camera, could not connect, sent it back and purchased the Foscam. Better feature set and no issues with set up--problem solved.

I had the same issue with my RMA. Updating the firmware to the latest version resolved the issue.

Yes I like all comment :) :)

I had the same problem, Couldnt connnect to the internet and register the camera. I tried everything switching from static to DHCP. Then I upgraded the fiurmware fropm 1.00 to 1.01 b3. IT WORKED! I connected fine and registered the camera. Then I went back to switch back to Static IP and it won't let me. I tried the camera web interface and it just changes back to DHCP( yes, after saving) when I return to the page. I even loaded the CD configurator and changed it there. It gives me an error saying there was a problem writing the changes. Apparently the firmware fixed one problem and created another?
-
So now that the camera is registered. I downgraded the firmware back to V1.00 and I was able to change the IP back to static. There is a bug in V1.01 b3 (see prior post)
-
Does this problem still exist???
I've read all the comments, upgraded to v1.05, accessed my camera from it's IP address, tried wired and wireless setup and I still get stuck at the 'Unable to connect to mydlink website' window.
So frustrated this afternoon I think I broke my laptop :(

Connect camera to wireless.
it will say unable to connect to dlink server click retry or cancel or whatever.
