Title: Maximum number of concurrent wireless users?
Post by: AzadiSoft on December 29, 2015, 03:43:49 AM
Hi all,
I want to know how many concurrently connected wi-fi clients does this router support?
I previously bought DWR730N Portable 3G modem router, but it supports only 8 concurrent clients.
I also bought DWR116 router with USB 3G modem, but it's not portable.
I'm trying to find a solution for providing portable Wi-Fi Internet using 3G modem/routers with ability to support many concurrently connected users.
Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Most mobile routers have limited client support abilities as they are mainly designed for just a few clients as most mobile users only have maybe a few devices connected while on the go.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. Ask them specifically what model router that would best be suited for your needs. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

My Region: Iran

My Question is that exactly 'How Many' concurrent clients does this router support?
10? 15? 20? or ... what?

DWR-730N supports only 8 clients. Such that the 9th client 'couldn't' connect.
