Title: DC adapter for DCS cams
Post by: JoeM on July 15, 2010, 06:31:15 PM
I have 6 webcams that I have networked and powered by splicing the DC power to extend and plug in by my media cabinet. I want to reduce the number of fat plugs and wonder if Leviton 48212-DC will work with these cameras. I think it will, but want a second opinion. The Leviton DC power module Provides 12 VDC power @ 1500 mA (I assume for each of the 6 positions).

The specs for the camera are:

D-Link DCS6620
http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=410

Power Input
• External Power Supply
• 12V DC 1.5A

Power Consumption
• 5.5W (Still)
• 8.0W (Moving)

Thanks for any help!

Leviton states that 1500ma is total and suggested 47605-PSC, which is still not enough for 6 cameras.
