Hi,

Sorry to be thick but where can I download firmware 1.10 from?  Clicking on the link from my DNS-323 update firmware page takes me to a site that only has 1.08.

Thanks,

Phill.

D-Link USA - DNS-323 FTP Site

Thanks for the very fast reply.  Downloaded.

Am I right in thinking I need to use 1.10 if I want to replace my two 1TB drives configured as Raid1 with two 2TB drives?  Is 2TB the limit or could I use two 3TB drives?  Is the best advice still to go back to 1.09 after formatting the drives?

Thanks again,

Phill.

Thanks again for the help.  The link to supported drives on the web site doesn't seem to work any more though, is there any 2TB drives that are known to work well?  Have to admit I hadn't come across the AFT before, aor all modern 2TB drives AFT?

Both my two DNS-323 work fine with two 1TB drives and 1.09 but I'm always short of space on tehm lately hence the thought of installing larger drives if possible,

An alternative I guess would be to buy an updated product to the DNS-323, is there anything comporable that works well?  All I use them for is to backup my PCs and laptopt to.

Thanks,

Phill.

These days it's difficult to find a HDD that's not AFT. There are plenty of 2TB HDDs that should work on the DNS-323. I recommend reading these boards to see what models other DNS-323 owners are using.

The DNS-320L is the latest successor to the DNS-323. The unit is faster than the DNS-323, supports 3TB HDDs, and supports D-Link cloud apps that offers NAS access from Android and Apple mobile devices.

Thanks again for the info, will look at 320L boxes before I upgrade to 2TB drives for my 323s.

All the best,

I found a 1.11 beta firmware that I installed and is working a lot better than 1.10 official.  I had been running 1.10 beta 7 for a while and tried to upgrade to official but it kept giving me 04/06/2011 as the release date.  I installed 1.11b01 and it has the date of 12/20/2011.  The biggest change for me is uPnP, it would always fail because of my very large music collection.  Firmware 1.11 took a while but it completed and I have DNLA support now.  Below is link to site where I found firmware.

I wouldn't have to link to another website if D-Link would have released the firmware on their site, or release a unpolished beta as a final release.  But thanks for the comment I will make this the last D-Link product I buy, and the last time I visit this site.

Have a great day.

I've the same problem with firmware 1.10 (and I'm not the only one). Even if I roll back to 1.08 or 1.09, my television can't see anything inside my NAS... Since I paid for my DNS (not so much but real and good money), can D-Link post the "official" 1.11 beta firmware in order to reply to customers' basic request?

Maybe my choice (DNS323) wasn't so good... what about all my other D-Link products? My loyalty seems to fail.

Everyone does realized that the DNS-323 has been Phased Out:
DNS-323 - Revision A
This product will be phased out on:
2/5/2012

This product's last date of support is on:
5/5/2013

If you have any questions about this, you should phone contact DLink support directly and inquire about this and any other FW releases, which probably will not be forthcoming anymore for this model.

Everyone does realized I worked for real in order to earn money to buy the DNS 323? And why I sould contact the D-Link support directly if they "probably will not be forthcoming anymore for this model"? An user posted an unofficial beta (I wonder why D-Link didn't)... so, post it again and let sad-users choose what to do with their not-working-nas!

My loyalty had failed. :(

Thanks for pointing out this seeming unpublished firmware version. I'll reach out to my contacts and see if there is in fact a firmware v1.11 that is supported in the United States and ask if they can post it publicly on one of the U.S. sites.
