Title: Unable to Upgrade from C1 FW303NA to FW304
Post by: ahmedm on April 20, 2014, 06:08:36 AM
Hi,

I bought the DAP-1360 from Egypt to use it as an AP. I have the C1 revision. Earlier before, I upgraded the firmware which was International (That suits radio bands where I live in Egypt) to NA (which suits North America radios). Since then, I'm stuck to NA firmwares. I could upgrade till DAP1360C1_FW303NAB04.bin (3.03NA). I need to upgrade to DAP1360C1_FW304B01.bin (3.04) but each time I get image error when I try to perform an upgrade (or even restoration of non-NA firmwares).

Since I decided to use the DAP-1360 as a repeater (Ranger Extender), the mismatch of radios in my Wireless-Router and the (NA) radios in DAP causes a pulsating disconnection from the wireless for both (Signal distortion).

Any help please?

Well, I managed to fix it by recovery console :D

Here's steps to access it: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=44909.0

Just note that default IP is 192.168.0.50 not 192.168.0.1 (make sure you've configured LAN manually to this subnet)

Glad you got it fixed.

For future reference, please follow these guildlines and processes for any regional units as it's not recommended to use cross region FW:
