Mydlink home app - Withdrawal 31 Dec 22
« on: February 21, 2022, 09:03:49 AM »

Hi all - DLink withdrawing the app 31 Dec 22 - are there any options to keep the sensors working.

I am v pi$$ed at the moment as my sensors work great and give excellent assurance. If the app is pulled I'll be left with a bunch of useless tech and my investment will be down the drain - feels like a breach of trust.

This is way more of an issue for me than an IPAD that won't update etc. I also feel it flies in the face of the intent of 'right to repair' where old tech is not just consigned to landfill as corporations want to establish new revenue streams.

Is there anyway to mount an appeal to DLink?

Thx
Jim

These products will no longer function after the end of the year. The mydlink Home products are all discontinued (years ago) and all have reached the end-of-support status which means D-Link no longer will offer any firmware or security updates. For anymore questions, please contact customer service in your region.
