Title: Get stack ports info using SNMP
Post by: luizluca on May 11, 2021, 12:30:31 PM
Hello,

I'm trying to get stacking port status using SNMP. Howerver, as soon as a port becomes a stacking port, it disappears from SNMP. I could only "guess" the status from LED info (1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.11.1.9.4.1.5), which is not the nicest way to retrieve it.

Code: [Select]
.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.dlink.dlink-common-mgmt.swEquipmentMIB.swEquipment.swUnitMgmt.swUnitMgmtTable.swUnitMgmtEntry.swUnitMgmtFrontPanelLedStatus.1 = Hex-STRING: 01 02 02 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 82 03 82 03 01 01 01
01 82 03 82 03 01 01 82 03 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 82 01 01 01 82 02 82 02 82 02 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 82 04 01 01 82 03 82 03
.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.dlink.dlink-common-mgmt.swEquipmentMIB.swEquipment.swUnitMgmt.swUnitMgmtTable.swUnitMgmtEntry.swUnitMgmtFrontPanelLedStatus.2 = Hex-STRING: 01 01 02 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 82 03 82 03 82 03 82
03 82 03 82 03 01 01 82 03 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 82 01 01 01 01 01 82 02 82 02 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 82 04 82 03 82 03

In this case, the last "82 03" and "82 03" where 82 means "led is blinking, link pass" and 03 is "1000Mbps"

Is there any magic OID I'm missing?

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.

We find that chat/phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
