Yahoo Widget does not show network speeds for DIR-615
« on: February 05, 2012, 02:01:07 AM »

I recently bought and installed a DIR-615 for my home network, and downloaded the Yahoo Widget.

Widget recognizes and display all the config information (LAN, WAN, WiFi) fine, but it does no display any of the speeds (which was the whole idea).

Any idea why this could be?

Any 3rd party security firewall software running?
I've tested the widget out on a dg-4500, dir-825, dir-655 and a 657 and they all work. I don't know if it's supported on a 615 as don't have that model.

Thanks @FurryNutz.

I turned the windows firewall off, but no change. Also not sure whether firewall block would be the issue:

The widget does get all the configuration information correctly from the DIR-615 (and it gives an error if you don't provide the right IP/pwd), it's just that it does not provide any actual speed measurements.

It may well be that that part isn't implemented in the latest DIR-615 firmware? Would be interested to hear if this works for somebody else (or if somebody else has the same problem).

(I don't suppose dir-655 firmware would work well on dir-615)
