Hello,

I have two DCS 932L cameras which both seem to have the same problem. Everything goes well with the setup (through the set up wizard) and both can connect fine by ethernet and wireless connection. Also there is no problem with sending emails (test email and emails sent by a certain time intervals) as well as motion detection emails but ONLY when there is an ethernet connection. The problem is that when the camera is connected wirelessly, it does not send motion detection emails and instead seems to override the motion detection enabled setting and sends emails by the set time interval.

I have tried many resets, reboots, have checked all the settings more than once, have updated both cameras with the latest firmware 1.13.04 (2016-06-28) but cannot find what the problem is. Let me note that my cameras have been purchased a couple of years ago and for the first two years everything worked w/out any problems.

Also if it makes any difference, camera access and change of settings are made through the IP address of the camera using Mozilla Firefox browser and an Apple computer. I read in some topic for another camera model that changes are only recognized if made through IE. Could this be the problem? I dont have IE and its not easy for me to make a Virtual Machine etc. !!

Your help and assistance would be greatly appreciated as this is becoming quite fustrating and there is no way to wire up both cameras just to get the motion detection emails working again... there's got to be solution!

Hello again, is there someone who has faced a similar problem? Any ideas what can be at fault? Still haven't found a solution...

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.93 and .94  DHCP

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com
